Westgate Motor Group has been trading since January 1988 and is a Private Limited Company, with Robert Addison the owner and Managing Director. The business has expanded from a single Honda dealership to three franchised dealerships, including SEAT which began trading in 2002, and more recently ŠKODA.

Westgate Motor Group have been acknowledged by Honda UK for achieving the ‘Dealer of the Year’ Award in 1992 and 2000. The business also been recognised with several other Motor Industry Awards including being one of only three Honda Dealers in the country to achieve over 80% in Customer Service in both Sales and Aftersales. In 2011 Westgate Motor Group were the winner of the ‘Aftersales Customer Service Excellence’ Award, presented by Honda UK, the business achieved the Seat ‘Dealer of the Year’ Award and has been continuously in the top ten SEAT dealerships in the UK for Sales and Aftersales. More recently the business achieved the 2014 ŠKODA ‘Retailer of the Year’ Award.

Experienced Motor Technician

Job Purpose:

To accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles.

Key Objectives:

  • Analyse work orders to identify what work has been agreed.
  • Perform repair work as directed within timescales and in accordance with established and documented procedures, as well as conducting routine service work on all makes of vehicles.
  • Communicate with other departments, including parts and service advisors.
  • Be able to diagnose and detect any additional faults.
  • Ensure that all work is completed safely and complies with retailer and industry guidelines.
  • Help retailer achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency. You will possess a relevant formal qualification as a minimum requirement for this role. We are looking for individuals that have technical knowledge, can work well in a team, have excellent record of time management, attention to detail, problem solving skills and excellent communication skills.

Required experience:

Job Type: Full-time

  • You should have previous experience in a main dealership and be capable of working to the dealerships exacting standards and time scales.

Sales Executive

Are you an experienced, driven and motivated Sales Executive looking for a new challenge?
Is customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything that you do? Do you want to control your potential earnings? If so, we want to hear from you! Like us, you know that customer service isn’t just about providing a service it’s about building long-term warm and trusted relationships. Due to the rapid growth in sales we are currently undergoing a refurbishment due to complete in May. Ideally we would like to have a new Sales Executive in place to hit the ground running once the refurbishment is complete. We are looking for talented individuals to join our sales team, selling a combination of new and/or used vehicles, with a wide range of finance and insurance products. Someone with used car experience would be ideal as our new Sales Manager has been tasked with expansion of the used car business. Motor retail experience would be preferable; however, a proven track record of resilience and sales experience would be advantageous as full training and support will be available from both the existing team and management. What you absolutely need is unlimited confidence, drive, energy, talent and character. You must be well presented with a desire and attitude to succeed. You will have the ability to quickly establish and build rapport with customers. You will also possess a clean driving licence and will either already be FCA approved or willing to be trained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting in to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for dealing with the sale of both new and used cars against set targets to meet dealership and manufacturer objectives
  • Pro-active generation of new business and customers through effective daily prospecting of existing database, renewals and referrals
  • Effectively promoting and selling additional finance and insurance products.
  • Providing the high standard of customer service expected within a franchised main car dealer
  • Adhere to the manufacturer’s sales process professionally from start to finish, while having the personality to shine through as an individual to your customer
